The most popular and well-known type of chain weave is the so-called “Anchor” weave – named after the type of chain used to secure maritime anchors. This style, invented by the ancient Egyptians, is considered classic, versatile, and unisex. It serves as the foundation for dozens of other weaving styles.

The anchor weave consists of a sequence of interconnected rings, arranged perpendicularly to one another in an alternating pattern.

Later, this weave became the basis for a design developed by the fashion house Chopard, in which the links are not elongated like in the classic version, but rather rounded. This type of weave is also known as “Rolo.”

The “Snake” weave is a beautifully elegant design, perfect for everyday wear. However, it requires careful handling and should be removed at night, as it is prone to bending or breaking.

“Rombo,” “Double Rombo,” and “Triple Rombo” weaves feature a clearly visible diamond-shaped pattern. These styles are popular among both men and women.

“Figaro,” also known as “Cartier” – this type of weave was popularized by the fashion house Cartier. It features a repeating pattern of three round links followed by one elongated link.
